Additional information

Details on thermal insulation
5.5 mm full one-piece wet type with back zip. Seams taped using a GBS (glued and blind stitched) assembly. Once a thin layer of water (that enters through the zip) gets trapped between you body and the wetsuit, the water stays warm as it is not replaced. This thin layer of water keeps you warm.
Ultra supple neoprene for even greater comfort and warmth!
100% stretch neoprene (FFA) for added freedom of movement during your dive and to make it easier to get into your wetsuit. Thermospan neoprene panels on the chest: even softer for increased comfort and warmth!
GBS (glued and blind stitched) assembly
First, the neoprene is bonded, and then stitched for maximum resistance to abrasion. A specific stitch is used: the needle does not pass completely through the neoprene to prevent water from entering the jacket when diving.
Designed for the female body shape!
Neoprene wetsuits must be skin tight to be effective, that's why Subea has developed specific sizing for the female body. The designs and prototypes of these products are tested "by women, for women"!
Thermal performance class
This scuba diving suit provides thermal protection that has been tested by the independent INPP institute in order to validate its compliance with the current standard (EN 14225-1: 2005). This suit is certified CLASS C A (+7°C/+12°C / +45°F/+54°F) B (+10°C/+18°C / +50°F/+64°F) C (+16°C/+24°C / +61°F/+75°F) D (+22°C/+30°C / +72°F/+86°F)
Adjust your warmth and the thickness of your suit!
When diving, cold is your worst enemy! Using the right thermal protection based on the water temperature, is essential. To avoid having to purchase different wetsuits for different diving conditions, we created the concept, with five pieces that can be combined with your wetsuit depending on the temperature. In this way, you can complete your thermal insulation with a hood, a neoprene top, a top with a hood, a 1mm under-shorty or a 5.5 mm over-shorty.
What is a wet wetsuit?
This is the most common type of diving wetsuit on the market. It is not designed to keep the water out, but to trap it, so that your body then warms it up, creating a thermal buffer between you and the outside. Made of neoprene - a rubber polymer filled with air bubbles - these wetsuits are available in thicknesses of 0.5 to 7 mm. Thanks to their suppleness and modularity, they constitute excellent diving wetsuits.
Tips on how to get into a wetsuit
Put your foot in a plastic bag. Then put your leg into your wetsuit. Your foot comes out completely and smoothly! To adjust, ask someone to blow into your sleeve from the wrist. The incoming air inflates the interior of the neoprene wetsuit, immediately separating it from your skin. You can then easily proceed with the final adjustments.
Tips on how to take care of your wetsuit
1) After each session, soak the wetsuit in clean water, on the outside and the inside 2) Use a bactericide solution to clean 3) Rinse thoroughly in clean water 4) Dry on a large hangar in a well ventilated place in the shade. Caution: the sun will cause the colours of the textile parts of the wetsuit to fade and speeds up the ageing process of the neoprene. Zip fasteners can be cleaned with a toothbrush and lubricated with silicone grease.
What is the SUBEA brand?
Tribord Diving is now called SUBEA, the Decathlon brand dedicated to underwater sports (snorkelling, scuba diving, spearfishing and free-diving). The markings on all our diving products will gradually be replaced. Why SUBEA? Because: "SUBaquatic Experiences are Amazing"! For more information: www.subea.com

    Excellent value for money.

My daughter has not yet had the chance to use this - but it is sturdy and well made and fits well. My daughter is a size 12 and bought the large size.

    Thibaut
    Chef de Produit Plongée
