In 1997, a small French diving centre opened on the shores of the Red Sea in Safaga.Running the site was a man whose personality had an impact on a generation of divers, Gérard Besse. The family-like welcome, the know-how of the instructors and their enthusiasm for sharing their passion, all helped to increase Dune's renown. The centre became a big family, a trademark, a French enclave in the Egyptian desert. In addition to daily activities, cruises were launched to push the boundaries of diving areas in the Red Sea: Saint John's, North and Ras Mohamed, Brothers, Daedalus, Elphinstone, ... then further south, in order to discover little-known spots in Djibouti, the Sultanate of Oman and Sudan. That small diving centre of Safaga has come a long way in the last twenty years.Now it's present all over the world: in the Maldives, with Sean Siegrist for exceptional cruises on the most beautiful atolls around Malé. In Mexico, it takes you diving to the cenotes, the Cozumel reserve, with whale sharks, bull sharks, sailfish ... In Bali, you can discover the island of a thousand wonders. From the jewel of its fleet, the sumptuous Aurora, you can dive in the mythical Komodo and Raja Empat.The brand has also established itself in the cradle of scuba diving, in Marseilles, a stone's throw from the national park of the Calanques, but also in La Londe, just opposite the sumptuous wrecks of the harbour of Hyères and the famous reserve of Port-Cros-Porquerolles...
