Longitude 181 Nature is an association created in 2002 by François Sarano and Vincent Ohl. It carries out various initiatives for the protection of underwater flora and fauna. The association is behind the creation of the Responsible Diver Charter, which has been adopted by many diving federations across the world: FFESSM, CMAS Québec, etc. In 2012, Longitude 181 created the first international guide to eco-responsible diving centres, that lists many diving clubs.
The association offers you its "Sea Fiches", submerged laminated cards explaining the underwater flora and fauna, to discover all that the Mediterranean has in store for you!
"Sea fiches" for exploration
In the form of laminated cards, these files can be taken under water and kept in one of your BCD pockets. Thus, you'll be able to discover the flora and fauna of the Mediterranean and recognise all of the different species that you encounter! Longitude 181 has prepared 4 laminated cards that list the main species living in different environments. Whether on the wall, in the posidonia meadow, on the soft bottoms and even out at sea. Day and night! The cards are accompanied by the Rhe Responsible Diver Charter available in French and English.
