I come from Germany, I've been working at Decathlon since 2007. I discovered diving a few years ago and I liked it right from the start. When I joined the Subea team, I had the opportunity to get back to scuba diving and I have my PADI Advanced certification now. Then, I discovered freediving. This has been a revelation for me and since then I practice this sport very regularly.

WHAT DO YOU DO AT SUBEA?

What's your background?

I first worked as a commercial director of water sports brands in Germany. Curious about the new Subea brand and the project, after the incredible success of the Easybreath mask, I decided to join the Subea team as a merchandiser at first. Today, with sport cutting, I'm the product manager on the perimeter of freediving. My role is to create a range of products to make the practice of freediving accessible to the greatest number.

WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT FREEDIVING?

I love the idea of going into a new world, totally different from ours. As soon as I'm submerged in the water, it's a world where everything changes, the fauna, the flora, sensations, etc... Scuba diving feels so weightless that it's almost like flying. It's a bit like what motivates us to travel: the desire to discover new things.

WHAT'S YOUR MOST BEAUTIFUL MEMORY OF AN UNDERWATER EXPERIENCE?

I'm going to talk about a scuba diving memory and it was during my first experience underwater... We entered an area with different types of underwater plants: small, large, etc... It looked like a forest but under water with lots of fish. A different world but still on the same planet.
