ANNE, RETAIL ASSISTANT AT DECATHLON VILLAGE IN BOUC-BEL-AIR
I’m 35 years old. I've been working at Decathlon company since 2015. This is a career change for me since I had a totally different job for 10 years, while taking up scuba diving in the meantime. It was 5 years ago and it immediately got me hooked, so I gradually went through the levels and I'm now level 3, Nitrox certified.

WHAT DO YOU DO AT DECATHLON ?
I first started as a seasonal retail assistant in the scuba diving department at Decathlon in Aubagne. Because of this, and thanks to meeting lots of people, I got a 35-hour job at Decathlon Village in Bouc Bel Air. I hope to soon become the leader of the diving department and to continue developing this exciting sport.
WHAT DO YOU LIKE ABOUT SCUBA DIVING?
What fascinates me about diving is the calm and feeling of peace that you get from it. Also, the diversity of the flora and fauna. I 've a passion for shipwrecks but also for the micro-fauna, I think it's a truly fabulous environment. Especially since no 2 dives will ever be the same...

WHAT'S YOUR MOST BEAUTIFUL MEMORY OF AN UNDERWATER EXPERIENCE?
My most beautiful diving memory? I think it's the first time I went to Egypt. It was south of Hurghada, I found myself face to face with a huge humphead wrasse! I can still hear myself screaming into my regulator—that's how much I lost it in front of the beast, although you can find much bigger ones.
HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE IDEA OF BECOMING A SUB-EDITOR?
I'm really happy that Decathlon lets us have this kind of opportunity. The ability to share this passion, for us the employees, is an excellent idea!
In any case, I'm happy to take on this task and I'm really in a hurry to start. A big thank you to my store for letting me take part in this kind of project!
