HOW TO INSTALL A SPEAR ON YOUR SPEARFISHING SPEARGUN
OUR TIPS ON HOW TO INSTALL A SPEAR ON YOUR SPEARGUN!
So you are going to need monofilament, two crimps, wire cutters and a new spear.
First cut the loop of the monofilament at the muzzle of the speargun to remove the old spear.
Feed the monofilament into the crimp and then in the hole of the spear. Pass it back through the second hole of the crimp, letting it overhang slightly. Your loop should be large enough so that it doesn't prevent the spear from engaging in the speargun. You can offset it a little, this will let it move smoothly when loading.
Use your wire cutters to make several notches in the crimp holding the line. They can be perpendicular or parallel to the crimp sleeve.
Run your line from the base of the spear to the muzzle of your speargun. Then feed it under your line release and back to the muzzle to complete your rig.
Then pass it through the second crimp, through the muzzle of the speargun and make a loop. Cut the line to the right length and finish by passing it back through the crimp.
Crimp it using your wire cutters.
Your spear is now installed!
